A Good Night's Sleep

I'm going back to school tonight which means that for the first time in 5 weeks, I'll be able to party as much as I want and sleep in whenever I want with no work to worry about the next day. Yay for college life!

So in spirit of getting the good night's sleep that we all deserve, here are some fun facts about sleep:

Can't Sleep!

I had half the day off today. That may not sound like much but if you knew how much I work, any chance when I'm not working is a miracle. So anyway, I went shopping today and bought a bunch of stuff for a bunch of money. My mom is always going on and on about how I should start saving up. Which I know I should, but sometimes I wish I can just play her this song.

Now I know that I did a post about electronic dance music a couple of days back. But still, I'm totally in this kind of mood right now. Plus, I'm not tech-savvy at all so I'm just messing around with what I can and can not do with this blog.

So enjoy!

What I'm Listening to: Electronic Dance Music

It's pretty late right now, but I'm totally in a techno mood. Currently, I am enjoying Crystal Castles and Tiesto.

My boyfriend absolutely adores Crystal Castles which is a electronic duo hailing from Toronto, Canada. I've heard many of their songs off of their new album but I only to seem to like the Optimus Prime version of "Baptism".

It is currently my ringtone for my boyfriend.

Now Tiesto, on the other hand, is a Dutch musician and DJ who have performed live around the world. I feel that his songs produced in collaborations with well-known artists turn out to be the best. So here are a few of my personal favorites.

And of course, there's "Stereo Love" which has been playing on the radio as if it were a Katy Perry song. It's by a Romanian musician named Edward Maya featuring the voice of Vika Jigulina. (Don't worry, I don't know who they are either.)

Hope y'all enjoy!

Check These Bloggers Out!

It's official! Blogs have become all the rage within my group friends. Everyone either has one or is thinking of getting one.

So here's a preview into two new blogs that my friends have started.

This Simple Thing was started up by my friend Caitlin. She's a little more organized than I. She has a specific category that she posts about for each day of the week. That's pretty impressive in my book. Caitlin is very creative (going to film school and all) and she regularly posts her original work on there. And I must say, they're all quite good!

Blue-Eyed Curiosity is a new blog that was started by my friend Beth who needed an outlet from her very boring winter class. She's pretty outspoken but her intentions are sincere. She's starting out just like me so her direction is unclear as of right now. But still, her spoiler review of The Green Hornet was very interesting (and amusing)!

And as you can probably tell from the screenshots, the results from Saturday's game made Beth very upset. Best of luck next year, Beth. I hope you feel better!!

Trying to Live a Fabulous Life

I am a firm advocate of living through clothes. My personality shines through my style. I rarely dress up as often as I would like to. But when I do, I like to express my dream and aspirations through what I wear. This is probably why I enjoy shopping so much. The clothes that I buy and the looks that I create help me picture the life that I want to live.

I have recently been invited to go to a concert at the Kennedy Center performed by the National Symphony Orchestra. My friend Fogel and I have decided that we were going to have a "Fogel and Emma Fancy Day" which requires him to be in a three-piece suit and me in a dress. Thus, an excuse to go shopping!

Here's what I bought.

The lighting is pretty bad but my brother was soo bad at taking pictures that I just took the best ones out of the batch. But anyways, this is actually a nice, flow-y violet dress.
It has a Grecian feel to the design which is the reason why I love it so much. A perfect dress for a "mature culture enthusiast"!

On top of that, I bought a pair of the most beautiful pair of heels that I have ever gotten a chance to wear. It's a violet suede which is my favorite kind of fabric when it comes to shoes. And it's only $50 at full price!

And lastly, I have found the perfect one-shoulder dress. I have been told that I look exceptionally well in red. And I think this dress is the proof. The belt around my waist gives the look a whole other dimension while also distracting viewers from my pudge. (Don't lie, we all have one.)
These various outfits make me feel adventurous and daring, but most importantly of all, they make me feel beautiful inside and out. So I hope that you guys all have that sense of adventure when wearing clothes and let your life be reflected in your style.

About Me

A girl who tries too hard to be clever sometimes, lovable in every way, and always loud. I have a love for all things cute and small. I also enjoy the company of my friends and boyfriend. And I love linguistics.
